FROM THE
ARTIST
Looking, to make objects for seeing, must involve thinking about looking—the artist’s ouroboros: to look to see how seeing looks. In the beginning, an almost secret intuition in the hands, shaping material. Two years ago, this led me to cannibalize my own work, treating old paintings as found objects inside new constructions. This has opened a door to unpredictable freedom, a space where horizons shift, stories flicker, and every move rearranges what you see.
